Bio

During my seven years at BuzzFeed, I directed and produced over one hundred videos, pioneered viral environmental content on their channels, carved out a role for myself as the only dedicated sustainability video producer there, created multiple successful unscripted series, and gained a deep knowledge of what makes millions of eyes pay attention. Through making the mini-doc “I Tried To Make Zero Trash For 30 Days” for BuzzFeed I discovered zero waste, which was my gateway drug into environmentalism and learning more about the climate crisis. I have been featured in Vox, appeared as an expert and written an article for Shondaland, and hosted workshops, all about how to reduce waste and be an everyday environmentalist.

In 2020, a narrative short I directed, The Return, premiered at the San Diego Latino Film Festival and screened in the environmental category of the Bozeman International Film Festival. A half-hour dramedy TV pilot I co-directed with writer-creator Stevie Wain, Day Jobs, won the Audience Award at the 2022 Austin Film Festival, the 2023 DCIFF, and the 2023 Outfest Film Festival.

I graduated from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts with a B.F.A. in Film & TV (yes, I’m still in debt) and won the sole faculty commendation in comedy the year my thesis film, The Spot, debuted at NYU’s First Run Film Festival. I have a Certificate of Sustainability from UCLA and I was trained as a Climate Reality Leader by Al Gore and his foundation in 2018.
